Over 11,778 lawyers from Multan Division vote today in Punjab Bar Council Elections 2025 to elect new representatives shaping South Punjab’s legal fraternity.

MULTAN: The Punjab Bar Council elections 2025 are underway across the Multan Division, where more than 12,000 registered lawyers are casting their votes to elect new representatives to the council. Each voter may cast eight votes.
This province-wide exercise will shape the legal fraternity of South Punjab, with 47 candidates contesting eight Punjab Bar Council seats across Multan, Khanewal, Lodhran, and Vehari.

Multan District: Four Seats, One Woman Candidate
In Multan district, 27 candidates are vying for four seats. Only one woman lawyer — Syeda Zill-e-Fatima Zaidi Advocate — is contesting.
Other Punjab Bar Council candidates include Malik Haider Jamal Maitla, Iftikhar Ibrahim Qureshi, Khawaja Qaiser Butt, Malik Muhammad Ijaz Khokhar, and Malik Sajjad Haider Maitla.
Khanewal: Two Seats in Tight Race
In Khanewal, nine candidates are contesting two Punjab Bar Council seats, including Malik Muhammad Tariq Noonari Advocate, Abdul Aziz Khan Punian, Rana Muhammad Umar Daraz, Sajjad Hussain Tangrah, and others.
Malik Tariq Noonari and Sajjad Tangrah previously served as elected members of the Punjab Bar Council, making Khanewal a district to watch closely in these lawyer elections in Punjab.

Lodhran: One Seat for Seven Candidates
In Lodhran, seven lawyers — including Rao Abdul Qayyum Maqsoodi, Rana Liaqat Ali, Malik Shaukat Ghallu, Rana Muhammad Iqbal Noon, Sheikh Mahmood Ahmed Kamal, Mian Mazhar Hussain Arain, and Rana Mohsin Raza — are competing for a single Punjab Bar Council seat.
Vehari: Two Reserved Seats Contested
In Vehari, seven lawyers are running for two reserved Punjab Bar Council seats, including Chaudhry Shafqat Ali, Rai Amir Aslam, Chaudhry Muhammad Ashraf Dhillon, Muhammad Khalid Farooq, Mehr Muhammad Nasir Javed, Muhammad Zahid Khan Khichi, Salman Yousaf Ghumman, and Rao Shiraz Raza.
Polling Hours and Result Schedule
Polling began at 9 a.m. and continues until 5 p.m. at designated polling stations across the division. The bar council polling is being supervised by election committees in each district.
The bar council election results will determine new leadership for the legal fraternity in South Punjab, influencing policy and professional standards for lawyers across the province.
Province-Wide Electorate
The Punjab Bar Council elections 2025 electorate includes all registered lawyers from district and tehsil bar associations across the nine divisions of Punjab.
Polling is being held for 75 Punjab Bar Council seats representing thousands of lawyers throughout the province.
