WASHINGTON —
Amid fears of a possible attack on Iran and escalating security tensions in the Middle East, several major international airlines have suspended or canceled flights to the region, significantly disrupting global air travel schedules.
European carriers including Lufthansa, Air France, KLM, and Swiss announced on Saturday the cancellation of multiple flights to Israel, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, United Airlines and Air Canada have also halted their flights to Israel.
Airline representatives stated that the decisions were made to ensure the safety of passengers and crew. They added that the situation is being continuously monitored, and changes to flight policies will remain in effect until conditions stabilize. (Reported by S.H.T) .
